What does ‘going on safari’ with Terra Tours mean? It means a tailor-made expedition that is carefully planned just for you. With 20 years of experience under our belts, we have cultivated all the love and understanding of Kenya and its people to ensure that your safari experience will be an unforgettable one. We are a family business with a team that comprises of three main individuals.

At the head of Terra Tours is Jeremy Njoroge Janicke. This 45 year old son of a German father and Kenyan mother grew up on the Coast of Kenya. After training as a cook, he went to work for his father’s company in 1989 where he learnt to become an experienced driver, mechanic, animal expert and ‘real’ bushman. Jeremy started up Terra Tours in 1996 where he applies his considerable knowledge of the Kenyan parks and wildlife to create the ultimate experience. Going on safari with us means going on safari with Jeremy, himself, as your driver, cook and tour guide. He is fluent in English, German and Kiswahili.

Angelika, who is Jeremy’s German-born wife, plans and co-ordinates all safaris from Mombasa. Guest relations and excursion organization are also her responsibility. She is a qualified nurse and guide, who takes on the job of driver when a second vehicle is needed. Together they have been living in Mombasa, since 1992, with their two children. Bonifaz is the assistant cook, who organizes and guards the camp when you are on a game drive. He helps you build and pull down your tent when on safari. He is a vital component of Terra Tours.
